Crimson Moon: How did the band get started?

David: Lacination was formed in early 2001.

 

 

Crimson Moon: What kind of music do you play?

David: We are an Extreme Death Metal Band.

 

 

Crimson Moon: How has the band response been?

David: We had have a great response over the course of 13 years of playing our music.

 

 

Crimson Moon: Where did the band name come from?

David: We came up with the name(Lacination) in the beginning when Myself (David) and guitarist Joe De Leon and our first vocalist Jason Picon from a list of band names that we had written down.

 

 

Crimson Moon: Introduce the band members.

David: We have our newest member Alyssa Morales on Vocals, Jesse Onofre on Lead/Rhythm Guitar, Arturo Terrazas on Bass Guitar, David Arredondo on Drums.

 

 

Crimson Moon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?

David: We all contribute to writing our music and Alyssa and Jesse will have the lyrics written during the course of each song when we go into studio to work on material.

 

 

Crimson Moon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?

David: Most of our content comes from different ideas that might have inspire us to work on and we all have different personalities and majority of our song writing reflects that.

 

 

Crimson Moon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?

David: We currently have four CD’s released.

 

 

Crimson Moon: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?

David: Our Latest CD is “Continuing” released in 2013, the concept about that album was more in the vain of us Continuing our journey and making our music in the way that we want too, Extreme Death Metal!

 

 

Crimson Moon: Do you have any side projects?

David: No side projects.

 

 

Crimson Moon: Who are some of your musical influences?

David: I have so many influences as a Musician and Drummer, I would have to say Dave Lombardo (Slayer) and Chuck Schuldiner (Death) as two as my early influences into Metal!

 

 

Crimson Moon: Which current bands?

David: And again so many influences in music, currently though I really FleshGod Apocalypse, Deeds of Flesh and Cannibal Corpse.

 

 

Crimson Moon: What is the band like when you play live?

David: We all have great energy on stage and we feed off of that when we preform together.

 

 

Crimson Moon: What was the best band you played with?

David: We had the honor to share the stage with many National Acts and local acts through out Texas, so many great bands out there, its hard to choose one of them!

 

 

Crimson Moon: Have you guys ever played in another country?

David: We have yet to play outside of the United States.

 

 

Crimson Moon: How big of crowd shows up at shows usually?

David: Every venue is different and every crowd that comes to see us is different, we had really big audiences and some shows not so big, as long as we perform at every show with the same intensity and the crowd feels it, we feed off of that.

 

 

Crimson Moon: How is the crowd response when you play?

David: The crowds have been great to us and showing support through out the years, it seems to get bigger every year too so that is great to see.

 

 

Crimson Moon: What is the scene like in your country?

David: The scene here is good, it can always be better but we have so many great local talent the scene will grow and become more big as time comes.

 

 

Crimson Moon: What made you want to be in this band?  And if you weren’t in this band what would you being doing now?

David: Music has always been a part of my life since I was a youngster, it helps me balance my personal life as well. I have wanted to form a Death Metal Band without having any boundaries and making music without compromise. If I was not making music I will probably have a 9-5 job in the office somewhere…HaHa.

 

 

Crimson Moon: What does the future hold for the band?

David: The future for LACINATION is to take our music and unleash it worldwide, take it to the next level and let the world hear our wrath and keep on making music that we want to and keep spreading Death Metal to the Masses!
