Tom: Hard Charger got started when three of us where playing in other bands but wanted to do something different and commit more time to touring and being an active band.

Tom: Hard Charger now is Dave – Guitar/vocals Shawn- Bass/Vocals and Tom -drums/vocals we’ve had a few members over the last few years.

Summon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?

Tom: We all write riffs and i mainly handle lyrics but we all have an input in everything.

Summon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?

Tom: Different places but reading the news can give ya good ideas, also just things I experience in live, we cover a wide range of subjects in lyrical content from Social Issues, politics, songs about good times and just silly heavy metal inspired lyrics.. cant always be serious.

Summon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?

Tom: We have two full length albums both available through No List Records. we also have two 7” EP’s and a split 7” with IRONFIST, we are working on a 3rd full length right now that should come out in 2014.

Summon: Do you have any side projects?

Tom: Yes, Shawn plays in SpineSplitter they play face rippin’ Death Metal and have a new album coming out very soon check em out here https://www.facebook.com/SpineSplitterNB?fref=ts  I also play in a band called HELM you can stream our first album here http://helm.bandcamp.com/album/helm and we’ll be releasing a follow up in 2014, Dave has played in a lot of other bands but at this time he works full time as a sound-man so one band is enough.

Summon: Who are some of your musical influences?

Tom: I think we are all influenced by a lot of different stuff but with this band a lot of old hardcore punk and metal would be our influences like DRI, Poison Idea, Discharge, Motorhead, Sodom, Minor Threat, C.O.C. stuff like that.

Summon: Which current bands?

Tom: I don’t know many I’d consider big influences I like Hellacaust a lot, Inepsy, Dopethrone, Hassler, Striver, Spew.

Tom: Usually pretty good i think and seems to get better the longer with do it for.

Summon: What is the scene like over in your country?

Tom: The Scene in Canada is Generally pretty good i think but it is very spread out and can be hard to tour.

Summon: What made you want to be in this band?  And if you weren’t in this band what would you being doing now?

Tom: Wanderlust and boredom, if i wasn’t doing this band id probably be working a crappy job with out the light of touring at the end of the tunnel.
