Crimson Moon: How did the band get started?
Joffre: I began with an old computer I had, so I started writing instrumental music, then on reverbnation Ivan heard my music and asked me if I wanted to have some vocals on it and I said yes, and I think we achieved great chemistry.
Crimson Moon: What kind of music do you play?
Joffre: Industrial Metal, but I think we have also some Nu Metal or Alternative Metal taste.
Crimson Moon: How has the band response been?
Joffre: The response has been great! but we are also in search for a Label that can put our music in the next level.
Crimson Moon: Where did the band name come from?
Joffre: Its a Latin Medical term, it means Hearts Delirium, i heard it for the first time on Fantomas album “Delirium Cordia”.
Crimson Moon: Introduce the band members
Ivan: I am a danish musician/songwriter/lyricist and I do the vocals for Delirium Cordia. I´m the old man of this band:-)
Joffre: I’m from Mexico City, I studied classical percussion on the National Conservatory of Mexico, and do all the music in Delirium Cordia, and Benjamin our guitar player who makes all guitar solos! a true music genius!
Crimson Moon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?
Ivan: I write most of the lyrics but Joffre has also written a couple of songs for the 2 albums. All music written by Joffre.
Crimson Moon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?
Ivan: For my part the inspiration comes from watching and observing how other people, own experiences and all the shit that goes on in the world. Now that´s good inspiration!
Crimson Moon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?
Joffre: 2, the first one is called “Mother Of All Sorrow” released on 2013, and this last one called “Phantom Pain”, released on 2014.
Crimson Moon: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?
Ivan: “All New To Me” is about letting go and letting someone else take the lead in your life. It´s quite sad and quite ironic:-) “Medicated” is my view on doctors tendency to subscribe medicine for every little thing and every situation in life. There is a pill for everything.
Crimson Moon: Do you have any side projects?
Benjamin: Yeah! I’m currently working on a pilot project with my friend Oliver Sepulveda provisionally named “Deva Purusa” and also prepared some songs for my first solo album.
Ivan: I have 2 side-projects called “Skin Tuxedo” and “Colliding With The Aliens”.
Crimson Moon: Who are some of your musical influences?
Benjamin: My musical influences are based mainly in rock and classical music, the mix is pure dynamite!
Joffre: Classical and heavy metal.
Crimson Moon: Which current bands?
Benjamin: Rammstein, Lacrimosa, Godsmack, Mike Patton, System of a Down and all that shit.
Ivan: Tool, Meshuggah, Textures, System Of A Down, Deftones…
Crimson Moon: What is the scene like over in your country?
Joffre: The scene for metal is very poor actually here on Mexico, I think in Denmark people is more used to Metal, but here there aren’t a lot of good metal bands.
Crimson Moon: What made you want to be in this band? And if you weren’t in this band what would you being doing now?
Benjamin: When they invite me recording, first heard the songs, immediately I felt connected with his musical ideas. They had everything, good riffs, Joffre on drums is a bastard, Ivan is a great singer, but felt that needed some guitar solos truly interesting and enjoyable for the audience. And that was what I did in this album. I would be waiting to see them play live! wait to see them in concert lol!!
Ivan: The music is awesome and the chemistry between Joffre and myself is working very well. If I weren’t in this band I would be in another band. I have to make music:-)
Crimson Moon: What does the future hold for the band?
Joffre: We hope to get to a lot of people, so our music can be spread all around the world! and hopefully a third kick ass studio album!
Ivan: More nerve-wrecking music for the people!
