Crimson Moon: How did the band get started?

Lisa: Our project came out from of Pierpaolo and Lisa creativity, who are founders of the band, guitarist and singer and authors of songs and music. Years ago they joined in order to create his own musical project. This happened at the dawn of gothic metal in Italy(Rome). Many musicians have collaborated with them in time, including: drummers, violinists, keyboardists integrating with their form of creativity.

Crimson Moon: What kind of music do you play?

Lisa: Usually we don’t define our sound. Let’s leave that for others to say. In general is progressive gothic metal but it’s not only this or maybe not at all. I mean, this is only definition of some reviewers. We invite listeners to listen more carefully in our link to catch all nuances.

Crimson Moon: How has the band response been?

Lisa: Very well, considering Italy is not homeland of Metal (Italian pop music is genre here more sponsored), we carved out a space in underground with other many good bands here.

Crimson Moon: Where did the band name come from?

Lisa: Band name comes from idea of mixing substrates of different ideas to form an almost alchemical amalgam.

Crimson Moon: Introduce the band members

Lisa: Currently the band is undergoing further changes to line up. But I can say that members are currently Piero (guitars) Lisa (vocals), Paolo (bass, guitars).

Crimson Moon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?

Lisa: Music and lyrics are entirely written by Piero and Lisa and arranged by the band.

Crimson Moon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?

Lisa: Lyrics come out of Lisa who is also a novelist.

Summon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?

Lisa: Currently we have released 4 CD’s since 2005. “Demo 2005” was the first, we had a good success with reviews and this gave us the option to be heard and understood. Then “shadows” of 2008, from which we performed live many songs and “whispering” in 2011, from which are two videos for two songs: “Whispering clouds” and “the black angel of good”.

Crimson Moon: Tell me about some the songs on the latest CD?

Lisa: “Spirits of the air” out on youtube and on an Italian Metal compilation of “Mondo Metal” webzine (“Metal World”) is an anticipation of songs from our upcoming album. You may notice a change in style towards progressive rock that is part of our cultural roots. In new CD there will be many surprises 😉

Crimson Moon: Do you have any side projects?

Lisa: Our main musical project is Alchem. We have art projects in other fields, the graphic arts (Piero e Paolo) or in writing, Lisa has recently published a novel.

Crimson Moon: Who are some of your musical influences?

Lisa: Influences are so many over the years that it would be difficult to mention them all. I would say all the beauty of rock and metal that we have heard so far and also what still hear 🙂

Crimson Moon: What is the band like when you play live?

Lisa: We are very spontaneous and happy to communicate on stage. Playing is a moment of joy for all.

Crimson Moon: What was the best band you played with?

Lisa: Many bands of Italian underground, it’s difficult to mention them all because they really are all very valid.

Crimson Moon: Have you guys ever played in another country?

Lisa: We have received many proposals, many times, but have lacked the appropriate conditions to make it happen.

Crimson Moon: How big of crowd shows up at shows usually?

Lisa: We can be satisfied in recent years. However, in recent times crisis and high price of tickets does not help public presence.

Crimson Moon: How is the crowd response when you play?

Lisa: People appreciates and is very attentive and present. We love to talk with them after concert.

Crimson Moon: What is the scene like over in your country?

Lisa: There are so many good bands that unfortunately does not have support of the majors and have to use self production.

Crimson Moon: What made you want to be in this band? And if you weren’t in this band what would you being doing now?

Lisa: I just want to be myself and if I was not there I would be fishing in a desert island and happy 😀

Crimson Moon: What does the future hold for the band??

Lisa: I really do not know … we’ll find out. There is an upcoming video release of the song ” So I am” from “Shadows” sung in Italian. Then we’ll see 🙂 I want to thank you for this space given to the band and all the rockers and metallers readers. \m/
