Crimson Moon: How did the band get started?
Spiros: Hello there. First of all I would like to thank you for this invitation. We are pleased to have a chat with Crimson Moon!
Crimson Moon: What kind of music do you play?
Spiros: This is something that it’s not easy for us to say but I’ll give it a try and say that is an ambient, doom progressive metal album.
Crimson Moon: How has the fan response been?
Spiros: Actually we can’t thank enough the people that as soon as they learned about our existence far by our expectations. People that learned or learning about us they really support us!
Crimson Moon: Where did the band name come from?
Spiros: We tried to give a title of our band with an accurate way of what music and lyrics we using. So I believe Fragment Soul fits really good.
Crimson Moon: Introduce the band members.
Nick Argyriou: Vocals
Spiros Georgiou: Bass
Jimmy Louvros: Guitars
Vangelis Kakarougkas: Keys, Piano, Hammonds
Kostas Milonas (ex member): Drums
Giorgos Pouliasis: Drums
Spiros: I would like here to thank Heike Langhans (Draconian) for her contribute and collaboration to this album. For us Heike is a “special member”.
Crimson Moon: How many albums/CD’s have you released?
Spiros: Axiom of Choice is our debut album that released via Sleaszy Rider SRL at 7th of May 2021.
Crimson Moon: Tell me about some of the songs on the latest CD?
Spiros: The album is based on a concept written of Spiros Georgiou. Every song “says” a part of the story. The story is already available for Purchase exclusively in our bandcamp.
Crimson Moon: Who writes the music? Lyrics?
Spiros: Composers are Jimmy Louvros and me (Spiros Georgiou).
Lyrics are written by me (Spiros Georgiou) and Nick Argyriou.
Crimson Moon: And where do the lyric ideas come from?
Spiros: The lyrics are based on the concept written by me that is already a small book available at our bandcamp!
Crimson Moon: Has the Covid Pandemic impacted the band at all?
Spiros: Things that could be done easier during Covid were way hard to do.
From the other hand we had the chance to get in touch with people like Egan O Rourke(Clean vocalist Daylight Dies) and do the collaboration with him.
Crimson Moon: Do you have any side projects?
Spiros: I (Spiros Georgiou) collab with Anders Jacobsson (Lead singer of Draconian) and pretty soon will release the project.
Vangelis Kakarougkas is the founding member of Sedate Illussion a prog metal band.
Last but not least Giorgos Pouliasis is the drummer of Playgrounded a progressive metal band.
Crimson Moon: What is the music scene like where you guys are from?
Spiros: We are from Greece and specifically based at Corfu Island.
Crimson Moon: Who are some of your musical influences?
Spiros: Katatonia, Opeth, Pink Floyd, King Crimson to name a few.
Crimson Moon: What is the band like when you play live?
Spiros: As we are a few months away from the release of our debut album we haven’t done an official live show as Fragment Soul.
Crimson Moon: Have you guys ever played in another country?
Spiros: Not yet.
Crimson Moon: What made you want to be in this band?
Spiros: Our passion creating music.
Crimson Moon: If you weren’t in this band would you still be involved in the music industry?
Spiros: Nope, I don’t think so.
Crimson Moon: As a musician what advice can you give to fellow musician just starting out?
Spiros: Practice, take decisions that will make you a better human and a better musician.
Crimson Moon: What does the future hold for the band?
Spiros: We are trying to book as many live shows as we can and we already started working for our 2nd album!
